To this point the unique example of Tom Wesselmann Nude Collage, 1970, offered by Joseph K. Levene Fine Art, Ltd. is markedly different in all aspects, including the hand applied acrylic paint, lenticular photographs and collage elements vs the example in the collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

For the record, the majority of Tom Wesselmann multiples created prior to 1975 did not employ screenprinting or lithography that Wesselmann’s Pop Art colleagues favored as Wesselmann preferred creating editions that employed unique elements. The condition of Nude Collage, 1970 offered by Joseph K. Levene Fine Art, Ltd. is extraordinary; the colors remarkably fresh and vibrant, the collage elements without the usual condition issues. Like the example in collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art, the acrylic paint is hand-painted, meticulously applied, lenticular photographs intact, not faded, fabric collage element not faded, lifting or damaged and the original oval shaped novaply panel not warped. We have encased Tom Wesselmann Nude Collage, 1970 in an optium-museum plexiglass box protecting it from the environment.
