Paul Jenkins 1968 Watercolor
This desirable Paul Jenkins, titled "Phenomena After Light", 1968, a watercolor on paper, is in superb condition; the colors are unusually fresh without the usually seen surface dirt. This is a superb example of from Paul Jenkins most desirable period, the 60's, as many of these early gems are in Museum Collections.
This Paul Jenkins Watercolor has been in a Private Collection for four decades ever since Claude Picasso, Pablo Picasso's, Son, gifted the Work to Tony Rosenthal, the Internationally famous Sculptor of Public Art. At the time Tony Rosenthal and Pablo Picasso, were represented by Sam Kootz, the Internationally famous Art Dealer. This museum quality Paul Jenkins watercolor is floated in a stunning gold leaf frame and is ready to hang and enjoy.
Life was sweet for Picasso during his 10 years of romance and cohabitation with Françoise Gilot, from 1943 to 1953.
Or so it would seem, judging by "Picasso and Françoise Gilot: Paris-Vallauris, 1943-1953," a wonderful exhibition at Gagosian Gallery.
